Areas of Inspection
interior
The interior of the home can tell you a lot about its overall condition. Not only is it important tor the interior to look good and be well constructed, but noticeable defects indoors could be symptoms of bigger problems with other systems in the house.
ROOFING & GUTTERS
In Oregon we get every type of precipitation, including heavy snow loads, so the roofing and gutters of a home need to be ready for anything. From metal roofing to architectural shingles, a good inspection will ensure that you can feel safe under your roof for years to come.
PLUMBING & DRAINAGE
Plumbing and drainage problems can be hard to spot because so much of these systems are hidden in the home. Luckily our inspector has years of experience diagnosing and repairing drainage issues leading to a keen eye for spotting symptoms.
EXTERIOR
The exterior construction of a home is what protects the structure from the elements. Everything needs to be in good shape and working together in order to keep out wind, water, and cold. A sound exterior is necessary to avoid damage to the house’s structural components.
HVAC & MECHANICAL
Heating, cooling, and venting are key aspects of a functioning house and some of the most expensive items to replace. We’re prepared to examine any style of furnace, air conditioner, and exhaust system so that you know what to expect from them in the future.
GAS/LP & CARBON MONOXIDE
Fuel used to heat and cook must be handled very carefully, and a system in ill repair can lead to some scary problems. We’ll look to see if everything appears to be in order, and verify that the warning systems are in place in case something does go wrong.
FOUNDATION
No matter the type of foundation, we’re trained to understand what looks right, and what looks wrong. A damaged foundation can lead to many other problems with the home, from water intrusion issues to weakened structural integrity, so this is a crucial portion of the inspection.
ELECTRICAL
A defective or damaged electrical system can be a dangerous situation, leading to anything from shocks to fires. Our visual inspection can help to find evidence of disrepair in the breakers and outlets.
PEST & DRY ROT
Wood destroying organisms and dry rot can be silent enemies of a home, causing damage that might go unnoticed for years. We’re certified to detect evidence of these problems, so you can rest easy knowing that the house is strong and secure.
